About 40 Days for Life
This fall more than 32 states will unite for the largest
simultaneous pro-life mobilization in history -- the nationwide 40
Days for Life campaign.
40 Days for Life began in 2004 in a small evangelical
faith community in Texas. It has spread to more that 150 cities throughout the
nation, to Christians of every denomination. The 40 Days for Life
campaign is made up of three key components:
-
Prayer and Fasting:
people of all faiths join
together for 40 day of fervent prayer and fasting for an end to abortion.
-
Peaceful Vigil:
participants stand for life through a 40-day witness outside the Planned
Parenthood facility.
-
Community Outreach:
a positive pro-life message is delivered to every corner of the cities
through media efforts, church presentations, petition drives, and public
visibility.
